Recently finished Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers; Eckart Tolle's New Earth found them both pretty interesting. Anything David Sedaris; We both read our way though dozens of magazines a month, including; Vanity Fair, Interview, Art Forum, ect.
Galleries:
We'd like to rattle off a long list galleries in Milwaukee, and believe us there are plenty but, the scene changes here so frequently we'd have to keep y'all informed on a show-to-show basis. So, if you must look at art in the Midwest we'd would suggest the Milwaukee Art Museum or the Art Institute of Chicago.
What do you have a passion for?:
Both have a passion for art, conversation, music, sock monkeys, great food and libations. Bridget has a passion for color, chocolate, vintage jewelry, shoes and ceramic squirrels and poodles. Eugene: Comics, belt buckles, the Stones, design, and trying to get away with wearing t-shirts, jeans and Converse One Stars for the rest of my life.
What inspires you?:
Art that inspires emotion. Finding a work of art that gives one that indescribable tug that makes you want to work harder; be a better artist; be a better person.
What does the future hold for you?:
To kick off the year we're doing a few boutique exhibits; "The Gangs All Here", Showdown April 17 at Cedar Gallery, Babes in Toyland at Eat Cake, April 24. Then we have a traveling exhibit It Came From Milwaukee (http://www.itcamefrommilwaukee.com), which includes 10 other artists, that will be going to Mad Art in St. Louis and Windhover Arts Center in Fon du Lac, WI, before ending with a one night stand at the Milwaukee Art Museum with "The Future is Now" (your 15 minutes of fame), which we've also curated. We've also booked a few things in 2010 but now we're just showing off.
