Arriving Soon:

Last year that we told you we would have new colors ready. We were wrong. Sorry.
Give us our address and we will come give you a hug.

What can we say. Perfection doesn't come easily. We tested, retested, and reretested. Then when we thought we were done, we rereretested. We are picky like that. We wanted to make sure these colors were so freaking awesome that your eyes melt out of your skull when you saw them.

As I type these words, there are Greeks loading pallets of paint in Greece. They are putting them onto a freight ship and sending them to us here in New York. We expect to receive them in less than two months

Before the end of summer, we will add an additional 20 colors.

So that means we will have all 120 colors THIS YEAR.

This is the full [Sabotaz]80 line of paints. You should buy all of these. Seriously.

GROG INK / OTR MARKERS
*******************************************

We know we have awesome paint, but the world cannot exist on aerosol alone. You need to mix up your creative diet with other things...like ink, or markers, or stuff like that. We are beginning to expand our offerings. We are now stocking Grog ink and OTR markers.

Keep checking back weekly for new products. We will begin to stock 3-M respirators, more blackbooks, and other things to mark with. Trust us, you'll be happy.

[ HOW COLORS ARE NAMED ]
**************************

We must get at least 3 emails a week asking us how we name our colors. Most of these emails are from writers who want to know if they can get a color named after them (you can't), but some inquire how we name certain ones specifically. So we figured we would shed some light on the subject:

RAPE YELLOW - We get more questions asking about this popular color than any other we offer. The pigment used is extracted from the Rape Flower. Maybe you have never heard of it, so here is a photo.
Just think, when you are using aerosol #1021, it's like you are spraying thousands of tiny little flowers.

ANTHRACITE GREY - Ever wonder what Anthracite is exactly? Well you can sleep soundly tonight now that you have been informed that it is nothing more than a type of coal. Peep the pic below.
Looks like a metorite, but it's nothing more than a hunk of earth.
So when you pick up a can of Anthracite Grey, its like a mini coalmine in your hand.

BLOOD RED - I know what you are thinking. If Rape Yellow comes from a flower and Anthracite Grey come from coal, then where does Blood Red come from? Well, it could be illegal for us to tell you exactly how we make blood red. Lets just say don't mess with us - Punks Jump Up to Get Beat Down!

[ PIGMENTS ]
**************************
At [Sabotaz]80, we only use natural pigments.

Pigments can be produced two ways - extracted from nature (our way) or synthesized artifically (the other way).
Synthetic pigments can be more harmful to the human body, so we have decided to do the right thing and use all natural pigments in our paint.

Natural pigments are extracted from flowers, wood, coal, earth, and plants. They are extremely vibrant, less toxic, and more ecologically sound.

These pigments may cost a little more, but we at [Sabotaz]80 know it is worth it.

**************************
[SABOTAZ FACTORY ]
**************************

At [Sabotaz]80, we manufacture our own paint. We own the filling machines. We own the labratory. We have a full time staff that works around the clock to produce the best damn spraypaint on the market.

You would think that all the companies do that, right? You'd be wrong.

Only one other company fills their own paint - but they are still filling their cans by hand.
Another company uses cheap labor in China to fill their cans and it shows in the lack of quality.
Other companies subcontract their operations out to the world's largest spraypaint corporation and try to tell you that they are 'down for the scene' when they are nothing more than a faceless corporation.

At [Sabotaz]80 we personally formulate, test, manufacture, and distribute everything ourselves to ensure that we remain responsive to writers and artists.

We don't push pencils at desks, we stand in the factory filling cans.

Here is the [Sabotaz]80 HQ in Greece.

Thousands of Sabotaz cans waiting to be used!

As far as the eyes can see. Nothing but Sabotaz. You got walls, we got paint - problem?

Here are the empty cans of Sabotaz waiting to be picked up to run through the assembly line

The day we visited the factory, they were running the Cosmos LAC line of paint.
This is a secondary line of paint that is equal to American Accents here in the US.

The cans are picked up, then submerged in a hot bath of 130 degrees and left there for 10 minutes to ensure
they are structually sound and safe to sell. Every single can of Sabotaz is tested in the same way.

Here the cans come out of the hot bath and are dried off.

This machine puts the nozzles (caps) onto the Cosmos LAC cans before they get the overcap

This machine puts the overcaps on the cans.

The cans run down the assembly line to the labeling and packaging area.
This machine can produce 130 cans of spraypaint a minute!!!!

The cans continue down the assembly line.

Cosmos LAC cans are packaged 12 to a box. Sabotaz cans come 6 to a box.

Here is the packaging robot. This takes the boxes and puts them onto a pallet.
Each pallet holds 600 cans of freaking awesome paint.

FEBRUARY 2008 NEWSLETTER

**********************************************************
Greetings from [Sabotaz]80 HQ
**********************************************************

This year is going to busy for [Sabotaz]80. We have lots of things brewing. We have some great events organized and we are steadily growing. We're going to be the Brock Lesnar of spraypaint.

Now we admit, we have been a bit slack about sending out newsletters. It may be the fact that we chugged too much spiked egg nog over the holidays, it may be because we were too lazy to type, or it may be because the dog ate our updates. Whatever it was, we have seen the light and will change our ways - promise! And while we vow to send out more updates, you don't have to worry about us clogging your email box with a bunch of unnecessary crap. By being receiving our monthly newsletter, you get the tip off on things before anyone else does, like our specials packed with extra awesome inside and super events you need to check out. Now doesn't that make you feel all warm inside?
